Got these two kwaikens hand sanded to 320 to make finish work easier. Going to get these heat treated tomorrow and learn about the process using a forge from a local young dude.

Progress on one of the kwaiken blades! first ito an turks not. Currently letting epoxy dry to see how that process finishes. The ito is cotton and not silk or polyester so that should be interesting once the epoxy cures.

Been a while since I've had free time it feels to post up. Here's one of the finished kwaiken I had heat treated via forge. Hand finished to 220, all epoxied handle and an aluminum cored Hartsfield style sheath for the finished package. I'm quickly realizing I need to learn a little about photography.

A wakizashi I had finished around the same time. 1084 as well, machined finish then dipped. This was an experimental blade on several things, so I just went ahead and finished it.

Been a few months, have been extremely busy with leather, denim, house and work. Wanted to updated my thread here. These are two kwaiken I have finished recently, I am offering these up for sale on my IG @rivalcraftwork and if someone wants them here, well, I wont say no

Both are 80CRV2, 60 Rockwell, 5.5" cutting edge, 10.5" OAL, epoxied Ito over black leather. Hartsfield style lined aluminum core sheath, buffalo leather with Ito wrap and paracord retention strap with brass skull bead.
