Hey Pit ... I'm just curious as to what your thought process was in coming up with
this particular design and what it's strengths are.

Nice! Have you gotten it into any action yet? How is it for general use?

I've given it enough use to know that it is going to work perfectly for me.
I wanted the minimum size knife that I could without ever feeling under knifed, this worked out at 8 3/4" total length with the best full size grip that I have ever held. It works well in every grip and locks your hand solidly in place. The blade works great in a pinch grip and acts like a small Ulu when cutting foodstuff as you just place the tip on the cutting board and use a rocking motion.

That is a fatty,

…a little heifer, for sure. :p

Here’s my knife shot of the day.

Another heifer.

Apart from those I listed above, by having such a tall blade it enabled a far more gradual taper from spine to tip thus making it great at slicing rather than cutting using a wedge action like so many knives. The added height also gave the blade more rigidity yet allowed me to keep it at 1/8" stock.
The exposed tang at the butt allows it to be used as a blunt striking tool and also allows you to knock it tip first into wood when performing woodcrafts or to knock it back into place when it wanders during battoning.
The hump acts as a finger guard against any jagged bones when skinning animals ( not that I do much skinning but you never know ), this was the reason that Nessmuk had one on his design (so they say ! ).
The flatter part of the blade closest to the handle allows you to make fuzz sticks etc but then there is a curve up to the centrally aligned tip so as to maximise the amount of actual cutting edge !

There comes a time, when I think I should just stop clicking on your threads.I already wanted the TTSK, and now I want to add more in addition to that.

Thanks a lot, Pit :D
