My knife roll

I had been looking for an effective way to store and transport my finished knives and WIPs. I did some research on pouches, buying or making a knife roll, and other options. In my meanderings, I came upon this. It's a tool roll, like what my dad stored his combination wrenches in years ago. It has really worked out well. Dickies makes two sizes, a large and a small. This is the large and it was $13.30 free shipping to my local HD. I get as many compliments on my knife roll as I do my knives. I think a lot of younger guys, or non tradespeople have never seen a tool roll before. You may find it useful.

good tip, that looks really useful and inexpensive too

currently holding 13 blanks and 2 finished knives with plenty of room to spare. It's not super cushy, but the knives don't rub against one another since the fold up flaps cover them when rolled up.

Chefs have those quite common

Velcro is better than shoelaces

Yes, I know what a knife roll is.

Find one that holds what this can for $13. Go ahead, I'll wait...

I actually prefer tying the strings. Velcro can get full of stuff in the environment this is often in.
