Thanks everyone on the knife comments

Will thanks for posting that pic it is one of my fav's

Eric that was 2 years ago in Alaska my friends had a moose hunt booked and someone dropped out so I picked up the slot

Went 10 days and passed alot of imature bulls. snowed every day and was a pretty tuff hunt. They moved me to a new location and we got socked in with fog so we layed around an old trappers cabin watching snow blow thru the walls

On the day before we had to fly out they where worried about us getting stuck in I was the last guy still in field. the weather broke just for a few hours and we spotted this bull lying down with some cows at the base of a mountain .. We could see the weather closeing back in so we went for him. When we got into the timber we lost him and it really started snowing so I stopped the guide and said we are just gonna bump a cow or with the swirling wind we are gonna blow this. weather permiting I was leaveing in the am. Plus with the weather coming in I said are best bet would be to back out and I would shoot him long We backed out till we could find him and zipped him at around 330

By the time we started working on him it was getting dark first light we where back and packed him to the river:thumbup: truly ball busting work :D

He was not super wide but big mass and his paddles went up instead of out but massive stickers and points

Coming in a bit late on this one, Joe. Hope you are well.

Founders Bowie is wonderful, dogs look great, the house is fantastico with all of those momentos on the walls.

On fighter and fighting bowie, I find my rhythm is somewhat different while working with each. I enjoy both and they are each quite effective in their "way".

Thanks for this thread...it makes me think on many levels and also smile wide

Oh, and we recently added a Giant Schnauzer pup to the family. He's 17 weeks and 53 lbs. he and our 10 year old, 12 lb Maltese, Bubba, get along...thank goodness.

Rob I was wondering where ya where on this one you where missed

Congrats on the pup just remember socialize socialize giants can be quite a handful

Good stuff, Joe! You can make a knife thread downright exciting. And you and Jason came up with one downright exciting bowie.
