My knives and how I carry them

Nice work bud! I don't know if you've posted it before but what sort of set up do you use for your kydex press? I"m thinking of either getting or making one and I really like how your sheaths come out. I've got some links on DIY presses, etc; just curious about what you're using.

I use a woodworkers vise. I have a few different sizes of boards with foam glued on for different sizes of blade.

Once I get up to anything bigger than an ESEE-6, I go to the floor and use my rather impressive body weight for pressure.:D

Some things need more than one layer of foam and some things need spacers taped on to allow smooth draw and reinsertion.

The more sheaths you do the more little tricks you figure out.
 
Really like the AH1 sheaths.

I did notice a lack of love for the 5, though - still kicking around in the Eagle sheath.
Didn't carry it enough to warrant a kydex design?

Pretty much.... Just too thick for my liking. Same with the HEST.

you know i love those AH-1 sheaths too.. those look great man...:thumbup: drop me a line once you get rolling again, i am definitely into getting 2 of those from you, if possible.. i was actually going to be contacting you soon in regards to one of these...:D
 
My 5... I hardly use it frankly. Too thick for my tastes. It has seen heavy use, but very little carry.



you could just send that to me and I would take care of it for you!!!!:D

I've got both kydex and the Eagle sheath. Aside from the snaps being TERRIBLY hard to use, I love the eagle. I also love the ESEE kydex on a molle back. With those options avail... I just wouldn't have a sheath made for it.
 
Shotgunner so you made the sheaths for the AH1s?? If so are you going to make them available when your press is up? I'd be interested in a couple myself.
 
shotgunner11 have you ever tryed to make a sheath for 3 AH-1 stacked in like an overlapsing patern if so i'd like to see 1 might even buy1. if not LOL make 1 i'd still like to see it think it would sit good on the Junglas
 
Damn that pack knife looks good used, that orange looks a nice shade of autumn.
 
that junglas rig looks pretty handy.i have been researching how to make kydex sheaths.is it very hard to do? how long did take you to get them looking as good as they do?
