My kukri has developped some strange black spots on the blade. Picture inside!

Neverdull? NEVERDULL?!?! NEVER say NEVERDULL near anyone ex-Army. You just might cause them to relapse. years of the smell and the feel of the wadding as you spin your brass against a blob of it every time you drag your dress uniform out of mothballs <shudder>

PS. I use simichrome as well. But I agree it is probably 90% same stuff as flitz and I can't claim either as better in any ways than the other.

and LOL Steely, visually appealing oxidized aluminum eh? well I have heard stranger things.

Never underestimate the ability for the lazy man to talk himself into something;)

I think it's a kratex wheel. Same concept. It cuts but mildly. It will require some polishing afterwards.

Love Kratex! Great stuff. Green and Red wheels....great for finishing jewelry.

edit: Simichrome is also the best test for real bakelite.

:D I'm very fond of blades with nice patina. To be honest with you all - my hesitation (one -anyway) of trying out a khukuri is the high polished blades. They kind of scare me - they're so purty :)
