Kydex My Kydex/Boltaron/Holstex Adventure

Good Evening BF Citizens,

I’ve decided to try out kydex/boltaron/holstex forming. This will be my beginning to current try’s at the art.

Eventually, I would like to be doing hybrid leather/kydex sheaths.

Tonight was my first go, and while it took a bit to figure some things out (and two great friends helping me along the way), here are the two I did today. A taco and a pancake. Sheath 1 is set up for a DCC, and the Boot Dagger sheath is set up for molle. I’m very happy with retention, definition, and that satisfying click!

Figured I may as well update my CPK BD sheath shape. The green one works awesome and is molle attached to some gear now…but this nicer shaped one is now pocket clipped.

My first commissioned kydex sheath. 😁 Set up with locking Molle setup as requested.
I’m very happy with the way it turned out.

Second commissioned sheath, rubber handle, so had to figure out how to make that work. Snaps in nicely and great definition. Drain hole on all my kydex/boltaron/holstex sheaths.
I love the pre-planning stage.

Kydex with drop loop for an older Kershaw fixed.

I put some front scallops on this Busse Swamp Warden for comfort in a pinch grip. Got the blocky front of the scales a little thinner also.

Finished off with a pocket sheath out of kydex.
Always with a drain hole.

I tried a new idea. Hot stamped the kydex, then dyed it. Wish I didn’t dye it. Haha.
I’m pretty sure I like just the hot stamp only with no color.
