My last day before the hernia repair and free wood

All the best Bruce, take it easy getting back to work (maybe you can milk a couple of extra shop days away from the other job before you go back). Don't push it though. And that is a fine thing to do, getting a couple of new guys a bunch of handle material.
 
Good luck on the surgery and a speedy recovery. That was a very nice gesture giving the wood away.
 
You probably need a week off after staying up and working on thet damascus barrel until 3:30 am.

Take it easy, get well, and don't let the wife talk you into doin the dishes.

You Guys are the Best! Group Hug!

I plan to use my 2 weeks off work to put some bronze inlays in the axe/gun wood and learn how to do silver wire inlays. Nice light work. Ive been cleaning the shop for a week and its finally starting to show.
 
Hey Bruce, if you run out of stuff to do I've got lots of "nice light work" I could send your way :D To help pass the time and all :p

I wish you well with the opereation and hope you heal well and quick. Just don't ask the doctor why there isn't a gun barrel on the scalpel.

Whew! Made it through the procedure but I feel like Ive been gut shot! I have a whole new respect for women that had the c section child birth method. They would laugh at my little incision.

Its good to be alive, Thanks for all your prayers, They worked!
 
Welcome back brother! I had a couple hernia surgeries when I was a kid, didn't feel a thing. ;) But if I had to go through that now I'd feel like I was gut shot... Now you have a few days off to play. I can't wait to see your wire inlay and the hawk/gun, so feel free to forgo sleep and all. Let the Mrs do the vacuuming though! :D

closest I came to the was having my appendix out 23 years ago.. ouch :)
