My Last EDC

Caly3 or even better the Sage in carbon fiber:D.

I have both and prefer the Sage.

The UKPK is lighter than the Caly3, but opening and closing isn't as smooth.

Agreed... I have the same knives and those are my thoughts exactly :)

I would go paramilitary. The Caly 3 is just a little too "lightweight" for an EDC in my opinion. It's more of a gent's knife, stealthy and unassuming but also not nearly as robust in construction.

The Para is the ideal EDC for those who like a 3" blade IMO. Light, strong, great "hand filling" grip, and cut's everything with ease. If your day to day chores consist of anything more difficult than opening a box or plastic wrap then you'll be glad to have the extra strength and grip of the Para, IMO.

I have a salt and it makes a great dive/wet weather/outdoorknife. although the H1 just does not get as sharp as say s30v,d2,or vg10. nor does it hold an edge as well. however I have used mine on over 30 dives and aside from some minimal tarnish on the logo it is in perfect condition. i love it for what its for.

I have all three, and recommend either the Caly 3 or UKPK for EDC. The Para is great, of course, but rides high and can be very conspicuous.

The Caly/UKPK disappear in the pocket with the wire clips, which could be important in a college environment and are freat for EDC needs.
