I get you here. Everyone is different. You went with Benchmade route, and I went with custom route.I came into a bit of inheritance and still feel a crk is way out of my budget. So don't feel bad there, I bought a bemchmade and bit my lip at the cost and it isnt nearly as high as a crk base model. If you are buying the crk to use, id like to say there are plenty of excellent users in magnacut steel at a much lower price. But at the end of the day, you want what you want. If you get the crk, make it one helluva crk and get some use out of it
You just need to set a budget and ’Stick’ to itI’ve been wanting a Chris Reeves knife for a while but is way way out of my budget, so yesterday I texted a photo of the knife to my wife and she replied jokingly “oh that’s a beautiful knife, I just hope it’s not over $5000”. I took this for a sign and like the title of the thread reads as soon as she releases what I payed this will be my last knife![]()
I showed that to the wife thinking she'd share in the humor,--- instead, she only pointed out that " you spent 900 dollars in knives, you better sell some of that"You just need to set a budget and ’Stick’ to it
Note: not my photo or money but it’s too close to my actual needs

She doesn't know it was actually double that?!I showed that to the wife thinking she'd share in the humor,--- instead, she only pointed out that " you spent 900 dollars in knives, you better sell some of that"![]()
