My Last knife

I came into a bit of inheritance and still feel a crk is way out of my budget. So don't feel bad there, I bought a bemchmade and bit my lip at the cost and it isnt nearly as high as a crk base model. If you are buying the crk to use, id like to say there are plenty of excellent users in magnacut steel at a much lower price. But at the end of the day, you want what you want. If you get the crk, make it one helluva crk and get some use out of it
I get you here. Everyone is different. You went with Benchmade route, and I went with custom route.

Just I never really was that much into CRK. I handled small Sebenza and large Inkosi... but that's it. Nothing wrong with them. I just didn't like the handles and for some reason didn't specially like them either. It's not the knives - it's me.

I’ve been wanting a Chris Reeves knife for a while but is way way out of my budget, so yesterday I texted a photo of the knife to my wife and she replied jokingly “oh that’s a beautiful knife, I just hope it’s not over $5000”. I took this for a sign and like the title of the thread reads as soon as she releases what I payed this will be my last knife 😆
You just need to set a budget and ’Stick’ to it

Note: not my photo or money but it’s too close to my actual needs 🤣

I could totally be happy with a CRK Sebenza (small) and an SAK (Compact) for folders. For over a decade that’s all I owned.

I have earned enough since then to expand the folder “collection” a bit to bring in a few different CRKs (Sebenza and Mnandi) and a Grimsmo (Rask), but my go to EDC is still a Sebenza and SAK.

So . . .now it will be an anniversary gift for her? Or will she get a nice piece of significant jewelry this year? I'd start at $5,000.

If she splurges on her own - then he is in the clear.

But if she doesn't... here are some ideas:
Expensive jewelry (diamond earrings and shit like that)
Designer bag
Designer shoes/heels
New boots or something
Expensive coat (not really summer friendly but OK)
Expensive perfume
Some flowers with that - like the gentleman above mentioned.

CRK makes nice stuff. It is hard to stop at one. If you like one model then you think an Inkosi or 31 would be a nice addition. Then you see another blade style you might like.

Many here have said it is "my last knife".

The CRK bug bit me back in the late 80s or early 90s with the hollow handled one solid piece knives. It was always a dream knife.

Since getting my Bodacious, I've been thinking that it might be my last folder, it's just an amazing amalgamation of everything I like ...

But I know, deep inside, there will be others.

Quitting / stopping just takes a little time and focus .
No big deal .
I began stopping in January , turns out it took a little "winding down" . A little like stopping an express train .
Why just today I recieved my very last knife in the mail . (Kershaw Leek 1660G Gold Plated and Polished ; quite inexpensive actually ).
So THERE !
That proves it .
All done .
Easy .
The trick is to respect all that kinetic energy you have built up over the yearsdecades .
No sudden moves.
Easy does it.
