The Busse and the Zt 0300 are mine, the rest were my dad's. My mother sent me most of his gear. Dad was a Navy rescue diver and I was a soldier, she felt his stuff should go to me.

His gun was damaged in the fire, as luck would have it I am a gunsmith. So now I have a project.

Last but not least. This knive belonged to a Navy SEAL during Viet Nam, my dad traided him a flight jacket for it or something. He was in search and rescue at the time so the guy may just have been grateful. Either way, this knife has seen way more than I ever will.

Sorry for the loss of your dad. The Al Mars are outstanding.
Judging by the trigger, I would guess the Kimber is an early version from when they were still made in Oregon

Yeah, the Kimber is about 15 years old. Dad died a little over a year ago, it was a diabetic stroke while driving. Hit a tree at 75 mph, he died on impact, he was long gone by the time the fire started. He was 62.

My sympathies on your loss. Looks like you have quite a nice collection to keep memories alive!

Longtrang, your father had a good eye for knives, and a knowledge of what was available at the time that was quality. I recall having to go out of the way looking for really good, serviceable, high quality knives unlike now where they grow on every tree. He had some of the best available at that time.

They should last long enough for your kids to make a post at the future blade forums about them, and you. :)

Thanks for the personal snapshot into your, and your fathers lives.

Joe

Wow, I Have The Up Most Respect For Your Father And I Thank Him For His Service To Our Country.
I Am Very Sorry About Your Loss, I Understand That Can Be Very Hard.

He Had Some Very Nice Knives, A Very Beautiful And Wonderful Collection.
Hold Onto Those And Cherish Them For The Rest Of Your Life And Pass Them On To Your Kids.

I'm Sure You'll Get Some Great Usage Out Of Most If Not All Of Them.
Then One Day Your Kids Will Use Them And Say "These Were My Fathers, That His Father Gave To Him."

Very Nice Collection.
Again I'm Sorry About Your Loss.

My deepest condolences for your loss. Reading your post about his funeral, your Dad sounded like a wonderful father........It seems he also had an eye for great knives.

Thanks for sharing them with us.

Steven:)
