My Late, Not-So-Great, Useless BladeShow Post

Gorgeous knives Havoc! Mind if I ask where you obtained tha HK45 tactical? I have been waiting since last September when I made an order with my local gun shop.
 
There is a gunshow that passes through San Antonio that is based out of Dallas, TX. It has a lot of more high end dealers than our crappy local monthly show. One of these dealers had a nice lot of HK and FN pistols. Of this lot, they had two tan/DE HK45 tacticals, some OD and some black ones. My daughter had just been born the day before and her and my wife were still in the hospital, this was just a quick trip to get some fresh air. I am telling you this because my mind wasn't in the right place, I should have bought more than one!! I paid around $1300 something and left. The show came back 3 months later and I hauled ass to the same dealer. He had several of each again!! Woohoo!! Only the criminal wanted $1900 now!! One of his people tried to tell me how rare and limited they were and they shouldn't have sold for so cheap. Whatever, I said, as I noticed an HK Mark23 laying there. What about that one, I said. I remember dealers like you telling me back in 2007 how the Mark23 is discontinued and demands a premium and here we are and there it is, still in production. I would give you their name, but there is no point.

I have already fired mine and have 11 mags for it now. I am proud to say, unlike my knives, all my firearms get used :)

Thanks Havoc, I bet she fires well, so far every review I have seen for that pistol everyone loves it. When I tell people around here that I have been waiting almost a year for a pistol and how much it is they look at me like I am crazy lol. Either way one day she will be mine. Also congratulations on your daughters birth, I am hoping that one year I will be able to have the pleasure to meet all of you at blade.

She fires well, but I am not as accurate with it as my USP 45, but I have had that firearm since I was 21 (15 years). I think in time that will change. Thanks for the congrats on my daughter, she is 3 months old and quite the cute little butthead, like her father. I already bought her a single shot, breech-break AAC handi-rifle in 300 BlackOut. Yeah, I know, I know, but what could I do? She doesn't own a knife yet, maybe next Blade. By the time she is old and mature enough to handle a firearm and wield a knife, she will have too many :)

Don't worry Garth, I have the same problem. You have the serious look, I have the a-hole look, or at least I have been told. People always think I am pissed off at work, which is partially true. You, however, love your job. :) Speaking of Texas, let me know if you are down here sometime, we can go shooting, drinking, whatever.

I just got back from a 4 day road trip and this was great:D
