It's raining here, so this picture was taken indoors in a hurry, so the quality isn't the best, but here it is.

I found this one on Ebay

A Buck 111 Classic, it was described as "unused and unsharpened", and I have learned to hold my breath a little on those descriptions sometimes, but this time the seller was dead on!

It has a blade stamp of ".111.." which if I understand right means it was made in 1980 (or did the 111's use a different system than the 110's?. This knife does not show one trace of use, and still shaves hair from my arm. No wear or scratches of signs of polishing, it appears to be truly MINT! And the sheath is also, no creases or stress marks at the fold of the flap, and the belt slot doesn't have any signs of ever having a belt put though it.

My winning bid was $52.00, which I've seen them go for less and more both so I feel I did OK, was that a good price?

I think that's a good price. I would easily pay that for a knife in that outstanding condition.
Enjoy it!

No question -- you got a great deal on a unique knife. Congratulations! :)

Excellent looking Buck 111 Classic & a very fine looking sheath as well! Are you on the lookout for the others in the Classic series... 510, 513, & 515? Not sure if there are other models in this series but it's a great challenge trying to find them all.

NICE! My main obsession is 110's and it's variants, the sheath being in such nice shape was a big bonus, now I'm wondering what's the best way to store a leather sheath??? To prevent damage?

I was eyeballing that knife, nice to see it landed with someone on the forums. I was away when the auction ended so I didn't get to bid on it.

Good score!

Because leather is a natural product, u should store it in a paper bag, along with those little square dehumidifiers u find in shoeboxes. U could also put it in a round cardboard tube but see that it isn't airtight. U can get those humidifiers in shoestores, because they tend to take them out of the boxes. U can re use them by putting them in an oven and heat them above 120 ° C so the water evaporates. Just see that u don't let moisture get trapped inside the container u store the sheath in or it will form mildew and rot. If u want it prestine u could go to a shoestore and buy COLOURLESS leather wax and apply a light coat to feed the leather.

I bid with about 4 hours left, and was shocked to find that nobody outbid me. I really expected t come home and find that bid had been beaten, but I guess everybody was at Halloween parties!

Thanks, I will check out the colorless wax, with this sheath being light tan, I am afraid to put anything on it that might stain it dark.
