My latest knife: light & tough bushcraft/backpacker companion

Looks great! Used the nessie I got from you yesterday in the kitchen. Still looks gorgeous and cuts like a dream.

3 oz for a 8" knife (1/8" at that) is pretty darn good, looks like a very usable design- bully for you! :)

if your looking to shave a gram or two, I'm guessing you could come up w/ something lighter than the tek-lok

Thanks man! Great suggestion on the tek-lok; I had a similar setup last year with a Mora 510 and a kydex G-Clip and lost it, hence the added weight, and hopefully more secure attachment, of the tek-lok. Is that what you had in mind, a kydex g-clip?

Hey Steve! I'm glad she's used well! Got any new pics to share with us? I saw you selling a bunch of custom blades lately and kept an eye on a potential Nessie for sale ;)

if that's what they call the folded belt loop that allows you to take on/off the knife w/o removing the belt; if that's not secure enough a simple loop that you have to take off your belt to remove the sheath would also be lighter

of course used as a necker would be lighter yet :)

Hey guys,

Been using this little bugger for just over 5 months now - really like it's compact size. Haven't been on extended hikes with it, though, and since it's kydex sheath is geared towards clipping on my backpack, I made a leather sheath for ease of carry around the house. Take a look:

The small size make it very comfortable even when sitting.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome man! Kinda looks like a knife I just designed. Im not usually a fan of thumb ramps but they work nicely on these smaller blades huh.
