My latest purchase...I'd like some feedback

I just got this on Ebay, and though I'm still waiting for its arrival I'm really hyped up about it. This shoulder rig is one of the coolest things I've seen and for my first Mora I didn't think I could do any better. I was bent on getting the Survival Bushcraft Mora w/ the firesteel and sharpener but this just seemed like two steps up. I just want to get a little feedback from both sheath and Mora aficionados so let me have it. Tell me what you think.

I won't get it in the mail for a couple days but I'll be sure to try that right away. Thanks for the tip

As long as it's comfortable, it looks like a great idea. Those Moras a heck of a lot of knife for the money.

Does he have any more this is literally exactly what I have been looking for not joking...

Can never go wrong with a mora! I havent heard a bad thing about that model. And I actually really like that setup. All in all I'd say that was a good snag!

Is the sheath brown kydex or leather?
If the sheath is leather does it have a kydex insert?
If leather with no kydex insert i would not feel comfortable carrying it in that fashion.

I think if that if its Leather that has been wet molded to the Mora itll have a decent "snap" and will hold quite well.

overall I enjoy this set up quite a bit, though the camo bits are a little much for me and a heavier knife would feel more "proper" but I think those are just my preferences gettin in the way.

Nice score!

I like that rig, looks comfy and the addition of the 550 cord is a nice touch. Good score Mike.

Is it mostly for walking around a camp site? I don't know if it's a good idea going through thick woods, heavy brush, or anything like that. Even in a sheath that is tight to your body a fixed blade can snag on things.

Interesting. When you pull that knife from the sheath, isn't the whole rig just going to spin around/come with it? Will you have to hold on to the sheath with your other hand to keep that from happening? And vice versa when resheathing the knife?

Hope it all works for you!

There's a technique, but if you have the strap tight enough, and pull at the right angle it should slip right out. I have never used the design in question, but that's been my experience with similar setups. Whether or not it works with that one would be up to the fit of the kydex.

It is kydex by the way. I know for sure, because I had an eye on it. I held off because of the 550 cord on the back. it it was webbing all around I wouldn't have worried about comfort under a pack. Please let us know how it works out for you.

There was another sheath exactly like it but it didn't have the strap. But I think the guy or company or whatever must make stuff out of 55 cord cuz their name is Paracord Paraphernalia. Try to look it up on google. I'll try right now.

Nifty sort of Baldric carry. Hadn't really thought about carrying a camping/'belt' knife type of deal like that before.

If only the buckle was one of those with a whistle built in, it would be perfect. This kind of rig is favoured in very cold climates because you don't have to mess around with your clothing to be able to use your knife. It does need both hands though, to sheath/unsheath, so not particularly "Tactical".

It's a bit overkill but that's just my opinion. I've done something similar with a single piece of paracord. I wonder if you have the option of orienting the mora differently. I would rotate it 90 degrees to the right so it hangs vertically, Bearthedog who's a member here and survival class instructor uses that carry method but in the way I describe.
