Thanks! Not exactly sure what you mean.. Do you mean the vertical 3 stitches or the elaborate "tulip" design? If the former; I don't like the belt loop too big as drawing the knife or even just sitting will push and pull the sheath all over the place so I made the loop smaller. I don't trust just barge cement so I in a couple other sheaths, I sewed a box. But then I figured that by stitching across I was creating a weak point right where things will bend and twist the most so I just did the verticals. I like how it looks.
If you mean the "tulip", well that's something I came up with to get around the stitching straight across and causing a weak point (zipper effect) and it has become a little trademark thing for me when stitching belt loops.
Why did you do the belt loop bottom with those additional stitches - just for looks! Either way - it is HOT!
