Every time I carry a knife, I need my Leatherman.
Every time I carry my Wave, all I use is the knife.
So, the second I switch back to a knife and leave the house, everything breaks and I need it again!
So now I'm "scared" to carry a folder again because I always know in the back of my mind I'll need my Wave for something.
And I'm not a "2 knife" kinda guy.
I can't be the only one like this.

I don't carry a multitool regularly but, I can say I am also not a 2" knife kinda guy and I'm also not a carry more than one knife at a time kinda guy, even though I'm sure in many ways that would be useful. Somehow I just like one a day though.

Yeah, there have been a few times I've wanted scissors or pliers, but only had a folder. Now I pair a folder with a smaller pocket Leatherman like the Squirt PS4 or a Micra. Seems like a good compromise to me. And since one is a multi-tool, I'm not one of those nutty two-knife guys. :-)

I just don't like how small the pliers are on Squirts. I feel like they'd break.

Micra or cadet us something else here. It's not so bad. Might get something micro with pliers to replace micra.

I keep my Leatherman Skeletool in my EDC bag and my knife in my pocket. Never feel under-tooled

I always carry a folder and the electrical version of the squirt. For some reason I use the heck out of the wire strippers, and hardly anything else on it.

The freestyle is cheap and has a decent blade. It just depends on if you need other things like the screwdriver and all that stuff......then the skeletool is for you!

I have a Juice, Skeletool and Charge. I don't carry the Skeletool or Charge very much because I don't want to displace one of my nice folders. I carry the Juice some but that pocket gets crowded with my flashlight and pens in there too. If I really think I will need the tools then I carry the Charge instead of a real folder. I seem to need the tools around my house more than anywhere else, and only a small blade, so I'm thinking about carrying the Skeletool around the house. I have also experimented with carrying my folder clipped in my pocket and the Charge clipped in my wasteband, that seems to work pretty well.

Front left pocket: Leatherman Sidekick - with a pocket clip this allows me to keep an Olight I2 in the same pocket.

Front right pocket: A folding knife with a pocket clip

This way you get the best of both worlds.

I just broke away from carrying a surge for over a month so I could carry my new vintage schrade 225 on my belt instead, but I miss my surge. There were already several times today I couldve used the surge but I did find other ways. Its really nice to have a tool like that but I dont always want to carry it because its so bulky and it kind of determines the other blades I carry, just another one in the rotation I guess. I wish I had a way to comfortably carry it 100% of the time out of the way until I need it like I can with my squirt ps4.

That's why I carry my juice pro. I've hadd that on my belt for 20ish years straight and use it for everything. It's discontinued so I've had to resort to the electronic bay for a replacement but totally worth it. Small enough to keep on me but large enough to get most jobs done.

Hello all, first time on this forum. I work out doors everyday so I carry my wave ask the time. Of course, the knives and the pliers are used the most. I'm looking for a good inexpensive fixed blade to carry on my leg. Any suggestions?

If I had to pick only one it would be a tool for sure. I find myself needing the drivers on the tools more than the knife blade. I usually carry two. A folder and a SAK or a Leatherman of some type. Often the SAK just because it's easier to carry.

I carry several knives and have my skeletool in my backpack. Never under prepared.

I think a knife and a SAK or multitool work very well together. I rarely use the knife blades on my multitools (since I tend to have better cutting tools on me at all times), but I find the extra implements very useful everyday.
