My Leatherman owns me.

Your not the only one. My surge has been on my hip everyday since the wife bought it for my birthday 4 years ago. It goes to work, hunting, and fishing. I've gutted deer(misplaced my skinner) and cleaned fish. At work each tool has been used many many times. It's been a hell of a multi-tool and never let me down. Without owning anything in the $150+ range maybe I don't know what I'm missing in a higher end blade alone for knife duty, but I haven't been stuck yet with only the surge hanging on my belt.

I always have my nice folder and a multi tool of some sort. a) for the tools and b) so I never have to loan out the folder. When at work I carry a Leatherman, and when I don't wanna carrey a sheath I'll grab a vic and shove it in my back pocket.

I over come not carrying a leatherman by buying every model and extras so I can have one in arms reach at all times.

I just moved back home from overseas. All my tools are still on route and the only thing I packed was a leatherman charge Ti

I have used that tool many times already for small repairs etc. I love it and would not be without it now.

I always carry a Juice CS4 on my belt. Skinth Solutions sheath. Hardly ever use the knife part but the rest? I use a lot! I always have an MT (albeit lite) and a knife in my pocket.

I really like my Leatherman Surge but it's not a real good knife. As the handles don't have good ergonomics and I can drop it easily. Still, having all the tools are great and it's size I like. So, I do carry another knife to use specifically for cutting. A Buck 110 with drop point blade and finger grooved handle. DM

Incredibly useful compact tools. I should grab that super 300 or whatever it's called, one of these days.
