I know. That was my first thought, so after I got it home I washed/rinsed/dried and gave it a generous slathering of Rust Free. I can see these handles coming off every time the knife comes back inside.

Those are the standard micarta handles sanded and buffed. They feel great. They're not quite as "tacky" as the rough micarta(which I think is blasted after milling, but I'm not sure on that), though they still have a comfy grip to them. I think I might add some liners so the handle is closer in thickness to the BK2.

If you get a minute, I'd like to hear what you used to do that. I'd like to do that to my BK2 and my BHK Machete.
