My make's mark

how do I put my maker's mark on? some kind of etching I guess.

I have a set of steel punches but I engrave.

I go along with what Bob Loveless said "never stamp notch-sensitive tool steel blades". It causes stress risers. Get yourself a stencil made. Then you just need a car battery charger and a bottle of etchant from Radio Shack
