i want to build a knife!
i have a piece of steel from lowes that my grandpa gave me who got it from a guy who knows a guy who used to be a machinist, but gave that up to join the circus. will this work? if not i found a piece of steel along side the road. you dont HAVE to know what your working on do you?
for a forge i was thinking i would use a fat girl for a blower and feed her burritos and some of Indian Georges Ht relish.
i think i will quench in butter instead of shortening because i dont want the blade to get smaller and well we all know what shortening does.
for doing the temper i will use a hot air pop corn popper for 10 hours 3x's
for a handle i was thinking maybe duct taping a shoe string on to the knife.
thanks
jake
p.s. just kidding!
