My Mess / PSK kit pics - PIC HEAVY

Really nice kit, and I really like that lid, too. I feel the urge to play at the surplus store down the street.

"I made this out of 2 travel size "axe" spray containers. Mashed 2 halves together..."

Great set up! that seems a lot more durable than the pop can stoves I have seen. Can you explain the axe spray container assembly? Mashed 2 halves together?

You can go with one spray can, SPRAY OUT ALL CONTENTS, remove the nozzle, drill out the top, drop in some wick and call it a day. You could do it with one can and I did that, but I needed a bit taller to have the proper distance to my cup/pot, so I had to use 2.

Just cut one in half or two depending on how tall you need it, sand the cut areas as smooth as you can get it and slowly tap the top half over the bottom half. It takes a bit of finesse and I had a couple split on me. As I tapped the top over the bottom there would be some creasing. I would sand down the crease and continue to tap the top down.

It really is great to use one can, but like I said I needed the proper distance from the stove to my pot so I had to alter it and make it shorter.

Next up is a one wick stove made from a Binaca breath spray tube. I want to test the burn time on something as small as that. I think the problem with a skinny one like that will be keeping it standing upright, but its worth a try.

If that digi bag is like mine, it's a POS.
It's okay for small stuff, one guy said it was a great bag for a girl.
You put too much stuff in it and those twist lugs act like they're about to pop off.
The flap doesn't cover the bag very well and stuff can fall out also.

Otherwise, looking good.

The tube for blowing air into a wood fuel fire was pure genius, I would love to see how fast you can boil water that way.

I shot a pic of inside the altoids tin, but there is way too much crap in there to list it all out.

Please post the contents. There's pages of altoids tins on another site, people just luv to see how much stuff they can put in theirs.
But, the space is limited, no matter how you stuff it.

Here is a old pic with a contents dump.
