My Mini-Skirmish arrived!

On my full-sized I loosened the pivot sdrew and the blade went off center. I tightened it back up slightly and the blade returned to center.

I got a mini-skirmish LE for a gift. (OK, fine, so I TOLD her what I wanted...) Beautiful knife that was well-centered. It, like yours, was striking the hourglass spacer when closed and chipping the blade. I sent it back to Benchmade for warranty service. Repaired and returned within two weeks and they even replaced the pocket clip I had scratched.

Perfect now!

You know, it looks like mine is still hitting the hour glass spacer. There is a very small chip where the blade makes contact. >:( Why would Benchmade allow the edge to get so close that if the knife isn't exactly perfect it hits? I'm not sure if I'm going to worry about it to much, and maybe after I sharpen it the edge won't hit anymore. Still annoying.

Wade: I would send it back to the factory if I were you. I believe a batch of them made it out with the blades being ground improperly. I've heard of others having the same problem as you and I.

I love mine to death and never have had any problems with it. STOP WHINING!

Just because you love yours and never had any problems with it doesn't mean mine is fine. If your blade was smacking into the hour glass spacer and chipping the edge I'm sure you'd be "whining" too. :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:

I hear you wade......very dissapointing...I'll probably still order one with a thorough checkup from NGK...first time I've ever been around a problem with Benchmade.

I'd would DEFINITELY make sure I got that fixed on my 130ish dollar knife....unacceptable on a 20 dollar knife. Should never have gotten through QC.

Mine is at the Benchmade warranty department for the same problem. It's been gone for 2 weeks. I only had the knife for 2 days when I noticed the problem. I can't wait to get it back it will be like getting a new knife. I really like the knife and don't expect any problems when I get it back.

I may end up doing the same thing. By the time I'm done I'll have not saved much money buying it online after all the shipping charges I've paid. I should have sent the 1st one right to Benchmade.

I really like the knife and I'll hate to be without it for a couple weeks, but I'd rather have it right.
