My Mistress can flex

Sorry to burst your bubble. But I've done that with my old Kabar Heavy Bowie. Same results.
I'm not saying the bowie is tougher, but that's not much "abuse" for a knife that's supposedly one of the toughest ever made.

Don't worry. The only way a Kabar is going to burst any bubbles in this place is in the literal sense. :D

Nice pics, MAX.

Check out how the knives stack up on knifetests.com

You will notice not only does the FFBM prove tougher (no surprise, because it is a thick beast), but the skinny Ash1 does better as well (much much thinner), and so does the Basic 9

I have seen full on failures from battoning through wood from several "tough" manufacturers, so I can snap a tang, or a blade for sure.

I had some wood that was so hard it was bouncing my 10 lb maul (one piece took 30 full power hits before finally cracking. The stuff was so tough I could not even use my wedges, because I could not really get it started). When I finally got the split, it was some great fatwood in the center. I took my FBMLE and used a large baton and battoned out a bunch of great fat wood for fire starting. I would not have tried it with some of the other knives I own, and have been using for years.

It is all good though, lots of great knives out there. It does not have to say Busse on it for me to like it (but it sure helps).
