I took the PM2 apart and dyed the scales royal blue. While it was apart, I noticed the ends of the steel liners on the inside near the pivot were rough and tried to polish them up.*While doing so, I scuffed them (you can't see it when it's assembled, though. It's just a small spot on the inside of the liner where the blade goes) but succeeded in making them smoother. *I also DIY-stonewashed the blade and pocket clip. The clip turned out beautifully but the blade didn't turn out as well because it's too hard and didn't get scratched enough (but it was dulled in the process) so I used sandpaper (up to 600 grit) to shine the blade up again. Now it has faint scratches on it but it glows once again. I have a brand new set of screws from Spyderco for it as back ups, if it means anything to you. *If you sharpen it up and lube the pivot, it will be in 100% working order. *It's definitely a user and the steel holds an incredible edge for a VERY long time.
