My Moras...

Cool. I always get a clearer understanding of a knife from member pics, as I have little to no access to some of those knives up here. Hey Eric, do you make molds or templates for knife model sheaths? Or do you have to have the knife in hand to "shrink wrap" the Kydex? I'm unfamilliar with the process. I'm wondering if you make sheaths for the Scrapyard knife line such as the Dumpster Mutt.

offer stands, my friend. sweet knives. my most used fixed blade is my orange mora 760.

Magnum,

Garrett Wade is selling the Mora2000 - I just bought one. It is not identified as in their catalog as the Mora 2000, but it definitely is one. It is about $25.

If you still want to give the Busse to a good owner, I'd be happy to take it :D

Hey Guys...

So do you like Mora's Eric ? LOL !!!!:D

Nice collection !

Yes,, I've really learned over the last couple years.. I use to snub them until I actually tried a couple...

Are you going to be at BLADE Eric? I would like to see that Mora 2000 and sheath if you are. I have never handled them. I have two of your sheaths but none with a firestarter, that looks cool.

No,, not going to Blade this year..Too many things on the go this year...
I think once you try them,, you'll really like it....
Don't let the price turn you off..

Normark, sweet selection of Moras there! I may end up owning that many someday...I hope! -Matt-

That's the nice thing about Moras,, you can have a dozen of them and spend less that $150..Just pick away at them slowly and it doesn't hurt as much...

Normark,

What make are the ones in the top left corner?

James

Those would be the Mora 2000 or M2K from Eriksson..
Ugly as hell but a Great knife..

Upnorth....

Yaa it is difficult if you have no access or a place to actually handle the knives...You kind of have to rely on what everyone else is saying,, I understand that completely.

As for molds or templates..

No,, I use the actual knife as the template. Since the majority of production knives are Very close to the next one I can make sheaths from one knife and they fit the next. This isn't always the case but for the most part this is how it works..

As for the molding of the sheaths..
In basic terms,, the plastic is heated, folded overt the knife, and the knife is then pressed between a foam mold.
I have started to make some sheaths for the Scrapyard line..It's not a line that I will be carrying though.

If you want a sheaths for your Dumpster Mutt,, I ask that you email me ASAP, Thanks guys

Eric

hah, the trade was for a nib camillus heat, not a busse! if you're not in love with your m2k when it arrives, the offer stands for anyone.

Just kidding (I didn't know what the heat model was so from the message I thought it was Busse . I know a little more about Busses knives after an internet search - nice knives!) - I like my Mora 2000. I remember a recent post saying the M2k supply seemed to have dried up, but Ragweed Forge has them in stock, as well as Garret Wade.

I must say everyone was right about the cutting ability. Sure, it's not full tang or as thick as something like the Fallkniven F1, but for everyday cutting tasks it is much better than the thicker survival-type knives.
