Like many of you guys, I try to make everything on my knives myself. Like sheaths, guards and accessories. This has got me branched out into my own mosaic pins. I got some info from the search feature here and played around with them alot.

I wouldn't want to make these commercially as they are somewhat time consuming and messy but I think I got it down to keep myself supplied and maybe another maker or two. It is considerably cheaper to make them myself than buy them. I was also lucky enough to stumble into a hole-in-the-wall local hobby shop that I never knew existed that carries all the parts. Huge bonus there.

I copied some of my favorite patterns that I bought in the past, the rest I just played around with seeing what fit where. I learned some really helpful tips by trial and error, but I think they turned out okay. Here's pretty much a day and a half's work.

Those look great! Any pics taken along the way? I have been wanting to make some myself just can't find any place local with the goodies... Can't rationalize spending $30/ft!

Did you use a hypodermic needle?

Thanks for the comments guys.

I didn't take any photos. Maybe I'll do that sometime.

I used a vaccuum pump. I agree on the price. They are getting out of control. That's why it's worth it to me to make them.

Those are nice John . Hobby shops are a big plus , you can spend hours just fitting everything together .
