My MS test knives

Mike,

That's an ambitious group for your judging and a stunning array of knives. I can see why you had some sleepless nights but you had nothing to worry about with that group. I wish that I could have been there to see them first hand.

These fine knives are absolutely stunning, and for someone like myself who hopes to learn how to make knives, they're an inspiration. Congrats for your MS!!

Mike, they are all stunning. Happy to have had a chance to see them up close and getting to meet. Looking forward to seeing more great knives from you. Congrats on the well deserved MS stamp.

Thank You for posting the photos Mike!
It is very enjoyable seeing your beautiful knives.
Congratulations, you more than earned the MS rating.

Mike, Congratulations!!!!!! Each one of those are the best test knives I have seen presented. The knives last year by Arron Wilburn had the top honors but yours MAN. Can't even describe the execution of every knife is beyond stunning!!!

NOW UPDATE YOUR SIGNATURE You are a MASTER SMITH!

I see a LOT of quality knives.

These were eye opening.

Congrats!!! (and thank you for the opportunity)

Mike, You're at the top of your game. The quill ion art piece is nothing short of spectacular. Congrats on the M.S.

So nice, Mike. All of them.
The Quillon dagger is nice, but the dog bone was - and remains - my favorite.
Good job, Mike.

There are a few makers whose work I really respect for their focus on cleanliness and for striving toward perfection in every detail of the craft. What makes me pay attention is when I hear all of THOSE makers singing the praises of this Quesenberry character. ;) You've got an impressive fan club, and that's saying something.

All of these pieces are fantastic, but that dog-bone is a real stand-out... and I typically don't go for dog-bones. Brilliant work.

Congratulations on your acheivement, and best wishes moving foreward.

Erin

BTW... is that the same ivory integral dagger that I saw in Seattle? Very cool.

Congrats on your M.S stamp and boy do I envy the owner of that Quillon dagger. I wish it was mine.

Marcel

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Michael Rader once told me that attaining the MS rating is just the beginning of your knifemaking career. I now understand what he meant. Learning a variety of different skills has enable me to tackle a broad scope of knives with confidence and I can't wait to jump right in :-).

Marcel54- the dagger is a gift to a very dear friend. I told him years ago if I ever got my MS stamp the dagger would be his. To be honest, I think he forgot about my casual comment. He'll receive it next week. I hope I'll be able to keep my composure, though probably not. I wear my emotions on my sleeve.

Coop I've been saying this for Years.

Once again congratulations Mike, as I've said before very well deserved and there was no doubt in my mind you would't get your MS stamp.
Looking forward to receiving the integral dagger to add to my very comprehensive Quesenberry collection another great piece and what a great Dogbone, congratulations to Jon on getting this fine piece.

Kudos. No doubt, you are going to be kept busy.

Mike,

Congratulations.

The knives are spectacular. The Dogbone is one of the prettiest that I have seen.

Great job.

I finally received the DB today and its just plain disgusting!!

Actually, is there a drool emoticon??

To be honest, its so nice I am afraid to touch it. I put it directly into my display case after staring at it and flipping it over a few times in the pouch it came in. I haven't actually held it yet!! Its gorgeous, my hats off to Mike!

Congrats Jon on the knife. Mike awesome job! Coop great photos as always.

Congratulations! An auspicious "beginning" to say the least. Really exceptional work. Your passion, eye for balance and attention to detail shine through. The integrals and main gauche set a very high bar for future MS applicants (and current Masters). That dagger blade must simply shimmer in person...
