Here's a Muela Crowned-Stag handled knife I modified..

Basics really, used a Dremmel to jimp the back o' the blade with a small grindstone bit.
Hacksawed the top quillion off the guard & filed it smooth.
Drilled a hole in the handle-butt to epoxy on a "Fishing Club" Medallion.
