My name finally came up with Burt and right in time for a blade delivery.

last year I fell in love with the Persian Burt made for Thor. At that time I had been on Burts list for awhile and changed my original order to a persian like the one I saw only a little different.

I love Bowies and Burt makes a fine one but he really pulls these off extremely well. Infact I have long said on here i believe Burt to be one of the great Bladesmiths out there.

The only things I asked for where

9 inch or so laminated Blade with sharpened clip
Blackwood Handle
subdued fittings

Then i let Burt do what he does best and this is a drawing for what he came up with and I am thrilled.

Feel free to comment on things you would do different but this is a wrap as far as I am concerned

That looks awesome and I saw the way you swing your Hells Belle (spelling?) bowie so this looks like your style. Will the guard be damascus or stainless?
 
Most excellent. I think Thor's fighter launched more than a few orders. I have one as well - with a slightly longer blade - due at the Blade Show. I look forward to seeing yours complete.

The spine should be unbroken, no clip point. Just looks like a bowie to me now. why not give Burt a challenge?

It would take alot more than a simple Persian design to challenge Burt
 
I'd prefer an upward flair at the butt of the handle for a quick handling fighter such as this, but that is certainly a sweet design. Looking forward to the finished product:thumbup:

Paul, that is why he changed the title of the thread to include MISTER Foster. So that he would get more than just a drawing.;)

JP why not go all the way and go double edge :D I agree with you about the sharpened clip.
