I'm just curious. How do you find the edge retention so far? What are your thoughts vs regular steel.
I haven't used it enough to have any real comparable results... I can tell you that it is very, very sharp though!!
I have a Large Sebenza with Raindrop Damascus. I love that knife and love the detail in the blade. I recently got a Carbon fiber inlay large and they fight over my right pocket daily. Both are great but I really love the Damascus blade. I hope you enjoy the new knife.
I love CRK damascus. I have had several large and small 21's. Unfortunately the ones with the beautiful inlay or graphic had ladder damascus and for some reason ladder damascus just does not appeal to me. I like the raindrop and the newer basketweave. I always loved spirograph, but waited around too long and now they are gone. QUOTE]
My Raindrop Sm Sebbie dominates my EDC rotation, she has a CF scale from BarryH. The steel is easy to sharpen, holds an edge, and in (my) actual use cuts as well as a BG42 blade. Add to all that a unique one of a kind pattern. If only I could get an Insingo in Raindrop or Basketweave, hmm.

This is about a 4-5 year old blade, love that older raindrop even more methinks.

I am glad this thread is alive! Sadly, I sold my Damascus Seb and do not have any further updates. However, anyone and everyone with Damascus users are invited and encouraged to post their experiences!
Why did you sell yours?
