My Natives

The BRK's a good one to add in a "lean" month. And it's a "first" and "original" to boot!
Again, great collection pkdmslf.

Just received my first Native III Plain Edge (C78PBK and yes this is more my style of handle and blade:thumbup:
Before I bugger up that screw holding the clip in, how or what is the best way to loosen, and remove the clip?
I prefer my knives with out a clip..and add a lanyard to it instead.

Bus Driver, Congrats your Native III. I'm sure you will be happy with it. I haven't ever pulled the clip off any of my Natives. I like the wire clip over the solid ones. From looking at it, it looks like a wide blade screwdriver should do it or maybe two, one on each side.

Thank you, I just started with the Spyderco's, the first being a Caly 3 then a byrd Meadow lark a Endura ZDP green, on back order.
I have a lot of different knives, SOG, CRKT, etc. I can tell right away that I will most likley
be a Native collector. I was a meat cutter for some 38 years, and when you held a new brand of boning knife for the first time, you new right away yes or no..this Native is a big yes.
Re the screws, I'll give it a try with the larger screw driver.
Thank you for the reply.

Dave

The Natives are a favorite bunch of mine too but only picky about a few. My first Spyderco was a SS Native CE with the etched Spyderco web design on the handle. A PE SS followed.

I came across the black blade PE Native and got a backup.

Then I came across these and couldn't say no. I caved. :D

Awesome collection:thumbup:Looks like I have a long way to go,to catch up.
But that's ok, half the fun is opening a new parcel and handling your new knife.
One question, are these diffrent series only avalable for a time?
As the only Native that was avalable where I shop on line in Canada was
the only one model to chose from.

From what I've seen on the Spyderco Catalog page, have the C41 S30V models, the C78 Native III and the SS handled model. You can search the 'Bay and the For Sale forums and find the other variants.

Will do,and thanks again, the biggest problem is Canada Customs:thumbdn:
Some of the boy's say New Graham tighten's up the blades best they can.
Some get through some don't...it's a 50/50 chance of arriving.
I purchase a lot of hunters from the U.S.A. no problem, it's that dumb law about gravity fed :(
