How did you make this wheel? Is it fabricated from plate? What size belts do you run. When will you post a video of it grinding some metal?

And why only 28"?

Hi there;

1. I need to improve my knife called Bamboo Knife ( the knife that being use mostly to cut Bamboo).

Knife that cutting Bamboo well is better to be Flat Grind and best if Hollow Grind.

I found that Full Convex do not work well in this job but convex grinding knife is also too thin in terms of geometry and this is the reason why I need a bigger contact wheel so I can keep more metal on the hollow grind blade and it is more touch with my L6 Blade.

2. The Wheel was made from casted Aluminum Wheel which is standard wheel in the Band Saw making shop.
This is the cheaper way to have bigger contact wheel for Belt Grinder.
