It's a shame that we will likely never get polished G10 Kershaws again. I have found myself drawn to them lately.

(2) PS Mini Tasks
(1) PE Mini Task
(2) Random Tasks
(2) Polished G10 Leeks

Thoughts, comments, pics?

Dang, those are very nice spiral...did you polish em up like that, or did they come like that?

The Randoms and the Mini Tasks are from several years ago. The Leeks are from '05. Most major knife companies quit polishing G10 when they realized it may very well kill their employees. Polishing G10 at home is out of the question. If I am not mistaken it is a glass epoxy laminate (or something like that) so it is pretty bad stuff to breathe. I believe I have heard Thomas refer to it as Black Death.
 
Very nice Spiral. I also love the look of polished G-10. Especially the Mini Task. I've tried to gather some here and there, but usually no luck. Very nice little bunch you have there.

those are nice looking spiral! the polished blade/G-10 look very classy together. nice collection! :thumbup:
 
They are great Spiral! You just need a couple of Ricochets to round out that collection.
(And of course the lefty models.)
 
Classy! However, polishing G-10 is safe with the proper breathing operatus though. or at least I think that's the case.......
 
I like the polished G10 Leek. You ought to Frankenleek a Damascus Leek or Composite blade onto the polished G10 handle! That would look great!
 
Thomas you wanna set us straight about the polished G10? Cause if I am wrong and it isn't too dangeroous.... I sure would like some more....
 
Those were the 1st speed assist made by Kershaw and are getting harder to find with the PE Mini Task being the toughest. You still see some in ce every once in awhile. I think those will only go up in value to a Kershaw collector. Nice collection! Kevin :thumbup:

Darn tootin', the PE Minis are almost impossible to find. I lucked into the one I have and it needed some serious rehab. The CE Minis can be had from time to time on the bay for about 50 bucks. The Randoms are getting harder to find. The Polished G10 Leeks are having their having their last hurrah on the bay IMO. The Ricochet is almost impossible to find. I have been looking for one for about 6 months and haven't had any luck.
 
Nice Spiral! The Random Task and the Mini Task are definitely on top of my list when it comes to an Onion Kershaw.
 
Nice collection you have there!!
The Random Task I bought in 98 was what started the
Kershaw bug with me. An awesome knife!!

Polishing G-10 is hazardous and not something we would want to do daily, but I wouldn't say we would never do another run of polished scales in the future.
