  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My new antique drill press. This thing is cool.

Champions were a pretty good drillpress for 125 yrs ago. There are 2 or3 of them around here including a 2 speed model.
Keep the oil to it. Good score!

A two speed hand cranked drill press? I am imagining the instruction manual. low speed, crank the handle fast, high speed crank the handle really fast!

No instruction manual back then. It was presumed that if ya had the means to afford one ya had the brains to operate it.
To get the 2nd speed, you change the hand crank position to another shaft.
They are a monster, weighs prolly 100#.

Anybody know where to find replacement feed arms for the self-feeding mechanism, or someone who can make one. I have a Champion 101 post drill, but missing the feed arm.
