I got my new BM670 a few days ago and it is awsome! When I first pulled it out of the box the first thing that got my atention was the wieght this is a heavy knife. The knife is very solid feeling and the handle fills your hand.
The optimiser is a cool and simple design I like it and to remove it you just have to loosen one little hex nut that does in no way efect the knife assembly the only problem was that I got the knife with that tiny nut super tight so when I tried to loosen it it striped right away but I called Benchmade made and they said I could just send it in to be fixed.
The only thing that did frustrate me was the optimiser seized up the blade the first day I had it and that made it next to impossible to open but just add some oil regularly and work it in and I have not had a problem since and I havent had to add any more oil.
In general this kife is awsome it has replaced my other pocket hardwear the BM557 mini-grip. tanto
