My new boodmark

As many of you already know I just got home about a week ago from doing the Wolverine Knife Show and a reunion with my best friend in Nam, Gil. The night before I left for home Gil brought out pictures he had taken while in Nam and several other things of interest. The thing that interested me the most was the Christmas card he had sent his folks. It was made out of a C-ration box top. I can almost taste the beans with meat balls as I'm typing this. The card was for Christmas of 1969. He had most the fellow's in our mortar platoon sign it. As you can see nicknames were real popular over there. I'm the third one down, Sgt Frog. After my wife took a look at it she said Sgt Porky's name could have been signed by me. I told her I didn't remember if it was me or not but after giving it some more thought she was right. Sgt Porky had just joined us on LZ Beaver where the card was made. It was my first forgery.

I do take credit for giving Porky his new nickname. I had taken pictures of the card while I was at Gil's. Anyway he decided to give it to me and told me to put it in my Bible. That's where it will be.

I just had some IMPs for a cadet bush exercise, (I think they call them MREs now) they are alright I think.

I know. First time I ever misspelled word. Trouble is that's in the only place I can't go back and edit. I kind of like boodmark.

Chip, Did anyone actually eat the Scrambled eggs with ham? I guess that one if you were able to heat it up and you had plenty of Tabasco sauce could be eaten. The thing I didn't remember was the meatballs being in the beans with tomato sauce. I thought they were just beans stuck together. I never wondered whey I farted all the time.

It was either that or explode........
