Hi All

Well after my first Bushcraft knife went home with a friend I have been working on a new version

Here it is:

Sawmill blade steel 5/32" thick

Canvas micarta handles epoxied on with bronze pins peened over for strength

Vegetable tanned leather 8 ounces thick with 10 ounce welt. Nylon thread.

Ferro rod

What do you think folks?

That should work quite nicely!

I like the simplicity of it, and as long as those handles aren't too boxy(I can't tell by the pic) it should be comfy to use in multiple grips!

Great job!

Overall knife looks good.

Few remarks:
Handle looks too boxy, you should try to shape it a bit.
I prefer shorter ricassos.

It is a tad boxy but this one is for me which means I can play with it and tailor it to my hand alone. :-)

Work with it and then sand it here or there if I need to.

I don't like real shallow ricassos.

Guess that is what makes the world great, differences in taste :-)

Ah, not bad at all! Quite handsome. I like the simplicity. How long is the handle, and the blade?

As others have said, I'd add some voluptuous curves to the handle. Needs beef.

Looks great, all business, good work !

Just a tip buddy, if ya don't want ya post moving add something along the lines of " Just thought I'd test out my new Bushcraft knife " and post some pics of some Trap triggers, feather sticks etc !

+1 to Pitdog. You may want to post some pics of it in use so it can stay here

I like it. The handle may not suit everyone, but everyone prefers different handle shapes.

Unless I am hallucinating this is knife 2 out of 2 that I looked at that I liked, but looks to be set up for a lefty? Two knives in a row, both lefties. I must be trippin, I like everything about it. Goodjob.
