This is a custom from Ray Laconico. Those of you who know Ray's work know what to expect... nice clean lines, good materials, fine ergonomics.

He met and exceeded all of my expectations with this knife. Steel - 1095. Thickness - 3/16. Blade length - 6". Handle material - African blackwood with mosaic pins. Full tang, distal taper to the point.

Ray was prompt with his work and reasonable in price. I recommend him highly if you are looking for a custom blade.

I didn't order a sheath for this knife as I had one already that I thought would fit it. Ray makes a very good sheath, however.

This knife will be my main camping and outdoors knife for a very long time.

I'm glad you like it Andy.. The knife looks good in your hand:D. Thanks for the kind words:thumbup:.

Ray,

Get ready - I have a feeling you're about to get slammed from orders by wilderness freaks like us! :D Really great work!

Very cool. Andy already knows that I'm into his taste in knives.

That is awesome. I'm always late on getting one of Rays knives, they all look excellent.

I really need to stop getting on this forum. Every time I get on I see something else that I NEED to buy.
