I just got this in the mail. I won't have a chance to use it in the woods until next week (will post pics when I do). Maximum 630 lumens with 130 hours at 13 lumens. It runs on 8 AA batteries (I'm using rechargeables).

Turbo - 630 Lumens, 1 Hour
Low - 13 Lumens, 130 Hours
Medium - 93 Lumens, 11 Hours
High - 277 Lumens, 4.5 Hours

I wouldn't want the turbo flashed in my eyes...
Reminds me of the tactical flashlight demonstrated by police on this show that airs on tv.. Causes you to feel extreme nausia, with possibility of fainting, throwing up, real bad headache.

I can't even comprehend how bright 630 lumens would be? Anyone have a reference point?

Why do they call it "turbo" mode? Is it just a marketing term like "Big Gulp" or is there something else to it. Can you actually use turbo mode for an extended time without doing damage to the light?

It's the strobe mode that does that.

I don't think I'll be using the turbo much, but it is nice to know you can light something up at 300 meters. This would probably be a great light for the SAR people here.

At 630 lumen, they can call it whatever they want. The light has a real nice heat sink, so I think you could run it for an extended time.

That light looks awesome. I will look forward to your review when you post it. How did you get it so soon?

Geez, that's cool as hell man. Might have to look into something similar! But then, I hear torches are waay too addicting. :D

Lets see, in the last year a Fenix P2D, Fenix LD10, Fenix E01, Surefire 6P Defender with Malkoff M60, Surefire G3 LED with a Malkoff M60 and this light. No, not addicting at all.:D

could you please post a pic of the flashlight in hand?
and if you could place it side by side with the LD10, that'd be great!

The flashlight fetish isn't really for me, but I understand folks really get into these things, and watches (another I can't quite understand). Then again as somebody who is addicted to knives, I can understand how one gets all into something based on minutia of details.

This one seems like the Busse of the flashlight world. Interesting. Can't imagine dropping that dough on one, but interesting none-the-less :) :) I'm pretty sure my father would like that one ..... maybe a Fathers day gift for him :D

aw man i've been drooling over that light since it was announced.........i'm about a week away form owning one!

KGD, you need to check out candlepower forums. some of the lights there run into the $1000's
