My new combo

You know... we need to start a thread in which people take a picture with all their knives on themselves.

Got these in the mail yesterday!! Man life is getting in way of me gettting in the woods right now but I will get some pics in the a.m. . Probably not going to be all that woodsy but I will get some pics at sunrise right b4 I get the boy on the bus. They look so much better in person than in a pic tho.
 
Just got in the house from work. Stopped at the top of the driveway and pulled out the 'chete, there is an oak that has a bunch of saplings that I cut down every spring and they grow right back. Boy at work told me that if I cut em on the full moon of Oct they would not grow back so I thought I would give it a try. Pulled her out and went to work. Some of the saplings were over and 1 1/2" and the lil 12 blew right thru em. Only one problem, well 2 actually, new gloves and new knife handles dont mix, and I ran out of saplings too soon. This thing really bites in deep. I love it. I hope to have some pics of the Snubby with some deer blood on it this weeekend I will post up Tues if I do.

It blew thru all of them in one swing. The one thats all cut up on the top I was just playing around and trying to cut rings off of it. I am going to put more pics in the second post of this thread go up there to see some of the Snubnose too!
 
I'll be up there this weekend RR - Bring your chete and come on up. There's plenty to chop

Bear season opens on Monday too :eek: Gonna hunt some hunters

Would love to but Im headed to Greenwood to get some venison in the freezer. I hope. Just shoot thier tires out and 85% will go home if they have to walk, especially up there on the Wallow, its steep.

Let me just say how awesome this thing is. I have owned some of those cheap $25 machetes and could not get them to do what they were designed to do for the life of me. But this thing, does. I took it down to the lease, and the road back to the back had briars hanging over it and scrathed the hell outta my truck last time I was down there. This time I had the chete, now my truck is by no means a show truck but there just aint no use in abuse if you can keep from it. So out I jump with the chete in hand and go to work, in just a lil while I had it all knocked down and outta the way. This thing, if put on the right cutting plane, never faliled to cut anything I threw at it,and some of it was lil whispy green briars and it snapped em off. I think that I am going to get an 18" to keep in the truck for just such occasions. I would not have had the 12er in the truck but I was playing around with it the day b4 I left and forgot to take it out. Anyway if you are on the fence about spending $100 on a machete try and if you dont like it I am sure you can sell it for lil if any loss.

Up and at it early this morning aint cha'. No deer, full moon killed me, I guess. That is what I am blaming it on anyway. Found some of the best sign Ive ever seen and sat on it for a day and a half and nothing. Now for about 21 days of living hell as I work 12 hr shifts on about 18 of em with one day turn arounds from nites to days, but after that 12 days in the deer stand in Ky. cant wait.
 
The 12" is for me the perfect machete. It is large enough to do everything i need it to do without being so big it gets in my way. I love mine!
 
I agree I think that the 12 does everything asked of it I just was thinking that with the 18 I would have more "headspeed" with it and get more of the lil stuff with one swipe, you know multiples at a time. I am going to try and like I said in above post, if I dont like it I can always sell for a lil lose if any at all. Still can t belive you sold the BF #1 :).
