My new custom 110...

Very nice. My first custom was the same make except the Koa came out very light. Gotta love the lil variations in the wood.
 
Several years ago, they didn't have S30V in the Custom Shop. The only upgrade metal then was BG-42 and, once in a blue moon, some teardrop Damascus. I lucked out... and got my most expensive knife to that date ($172). Even to date, with CRKs, ZTs and even a custom Mel Pardue knife, if I had to abandon my home quickly, this custom 110 would be in my pocket:

The flaming Koa and NS bolsters will set off any blade. That Koa looks three dimensional - hard to see in a photo - congrats to the OP!

Of course, you could spend a minmal $84 at the CS and get a blue Dymondwood/NS bolster/S30v 'user' knife:

You'd likely do like I did - put it up and carry a basic 420HC 110. Still, everyone needs a Buck Custom Shop 110. Thanks for posting, ITE!

Hello all, I got this sweeet Buck Custom 110 for Christmas from my son and his wife... It has Nickel Silver handles with finger grooves and with
KOA Flamewood inlays and a S30V blade... It's just a great knife and I think I'm going to used this one...

That is very nice Armand! I have not seen tight grained KOA before, it's beautiful. A very nice xmas gift for sure....you are a lucky man.
