My new custom bush knife from Justin at Ranger Knives! (pics included)

I wanted to get a custom bush knife for a while, but wasn't sure which maker to go with. I decided on Justin at Ranger Knives and could NOT be happier with the results. As always, his customer service and craftsmanship are top notch.

I like the subtle finger grooves.......looks like a comfy handle.
 
Very nice. Justin does great work and it looks like you had a great design to start with. Please post more when you get it out in the field.
 
Looks pretty damn good, and it certainly looks like one of Justin's. I'd buy that. How thick is the blade? Oh, and the handle scales on that RD9 of yours - what material is that?
 
That is sweet. Ranger knives are a good deal. I got this one from Justin at RK. I eventually convexed the blade and am very happy with the results. I believe these knives are based on his SHIV model. I made the sheath with fire steel loop in one afternoon. I know, it looks it:) I have used it for drilling, and baton all day with it, no problem at all. Sort of a budget North Star:D
 
Very nice! I also have a Gingrich custom that I designed coming my way soon as the sheathing is done!
