My new Custom EDC by Alan Davis! What do you think?

Sir ; l love your knife. But wouldn't it be wiser to have a nail nick for.convenience or a thumb stud or thumb hole ?

No Sir! This one is very easy to open. Everyone seems to like the clean lines with a blade with nothing extra! This is one awesome EDC! THANKS everyone. Keep the comments coming! Kevin :D

Well, it has been 1 year to date since I posted this review and it still stands as the GREATEST EDC OF ALL TIME! Thought I would bring this post back up for someone who might not have seen it. Let me know what you think. THANKS! Kevin

It is gorgeous, but I'd prefer a flipper on it to keep the clean blade without sacrificing 1HO. Otherwise, perfect.

Very nice, it reminds me of the early Emerson mil-spec customs - similar color scheme and contouring on the scales.

Great Lookin' knife! Anytime Alan makes a knife it's Great. Alan has come a long way as a knife maker in the 3-4 years that I've known him.

Most of his knives that he's made recently look like a like a work of art.

I have a few of Alan's knives including 1 that was gifted to me.

I didn't realize this thread is a year old. Again OP, Great lookin' Knife.

Outstanding. Glad you brought the thread back for newer folks. I missed this one. I love it and would carry it anywhere!

Without starting a new thread I wanted people to realize how nice Alan's knives are. They look great, his bearing system is silky smooth, and they hold up to some pretty hard usage. My introduction to his products came when a kind member of BF sold me a very lightly used liner lock in elmax with curly maple scales. Alan has the heat treat on elmax down, I carry this knife a lot and it holds an edge well, really well. Next, he made me a custom to my specs, again in elmax. I use this more sparingly because of its beauty but it does the job and would be a great edc if I had the nutz to put it into rotation.
Anyway, he post folders for sale from time to time here, I would encourage you to give one a try.
To top it all off he is a great guy, easy to talk to and very receptive to your ideas and thoughts. Give him a try, you will be glad you did! Russ

Well it has been over 2 years now and this is the longest I have ever carried a knife as my main edc!!
This is just the best. Alan Davis just really did this knife RIGHT!! It is just plain fun to cut with and remains RAZOR SHARP!! I am going to keep giving Alan my thumbs up on this one!! Kevin 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Very, very nice! I think you really like it, just a guess ;)
Smooth, clean looking, very well made knife..one to definitely pass down!

Well this is Year 3 with my favorite pocket EDC and this knife is still as smooth as it was when I first got it. This is the ideal edc and I will always keep giving Alan my big thumbs UP!! Let me know what you guys think. Kevin

Well we are now on year 4 of my favorite pocket EDC. It is just plain fun to cut with. I was on the phone with Alan a couple of days ago and I never fail to mention it. It is truly a one of a kind and perfect for the pocket. I will always give Alan my biggest THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE. Kevin

Just thought I would bump this up for fun. Now that Alan did this knife the exact way I wanted and it looks like 11 years later we were on to something. Several companies make Sodbuster style knives with high end steels now. This Alan Davis has Elmax and could not have been done any better and I still have it today. Alan did an awesome job!!
