I found this table at an arts & crafts event, probably 20 years ago. It was made of cherry wood and I forget the name of the South American Wood for the Chess board inlays. It was made for chess pieces, but, I saw the possibilities and bought it to store knives. I bought some dark brown felt and cut it to size for each compartment - a total of 35 compartments. The drawer slides in and a table remains.
Nothing wrong with the tool box storage, but, I agree with Duane and others about the plastic or rubbery stuff - not good with knives or wood.
I thought I would throw this idea into the mix, as some of you you might find an old table that could be used for something like this or maybe you know a wood worker.
