Not my new favorite survival food but damn good! I needed an excuse to post some good pics from Tuna Fishing in the North Atlantic yesterday.
Went with a few buddies tuna fishing yesterday. We left Bristol, CT around 12:30 and got to Harwich Port, MA around 4 am. Our boat departed around 4:30 and we were fishing by 7am. Around 8am, I hooked up the first of two fish for the day. Jimmy, my buddy, hooked up simultaneously. We were trolling squid rigs and the weather held out for the most part. Seas were pretty rough and at least 3 guys on the boat ended up chumming with their lunch. I'm good on the water and haven't been sick since I was a little child. Yesterday, I even felt it a bit. Anyway, the tuna I caught was 49" and weighed in over 100lbs. The tuna Jimmy pulled in was around 45" and about 70 lbs.
I'm cooking it up tonight. Cleaned out and split up among friends, I ended up with almost 40 lbs of fish in my cooler. Can't wait to give it some butter and lemon. Yum!
