A couple of months ago I bought my first file knife. WOWso Ive cleared out a display drawer to collect some of these great knives. Ive bought two file knives from Alexander Noot, a knife maker here on BF and one from a local shop in San Diego called Anza Knives. These knives are pictured below
1. Top knife is my newest from Alexander Noot a 9.5 drop point from a a Nicholson Brasil Bastard file with belt sheath.
2. Middle was my first file knife, another Noot knife with a cool upswept 6.5 curve blade from a Nicholson Holland file with pocket sheath.
3. Bottom knife is a 6 Anza with belt sheath.

I especially like Alexs two knives because of their handles which retain the file scoring. They are great to gripe and just feel good in the hand. These file knives take some great edges and respond to wet stones and and sandpaper to produce wicked edges.

So I am new to file knives and have seen some posted here. If you want to add some of yours to this thread that would be great. Ive not used mine for anything yet, except to admirewhat do you use yours for?

Thanks .Mike
