My New Firesteels

Just thought I would show everyone my new Firesteels that I made. They really fit well in the hand. I like the primative look.

I was going to epoxy them in but the fit is so tight you can barely get them out any way so I'm not sure if I am going to leave as is or go ahead and epoxy them in.

Very nice, I like them. I did something similar with mine, used hot glue to fasten them to the steel, they have never been a problem. Thanks for sharing.

Fatwood is flammable and a great firestarter but it is not quite that flammable. Chris

But I have some more blanks to work with ...I have already glued one on a raw piece of magnesium to make myself a bigger and massive pack ...sorry but I don't have any pictures at this time

Good stuff, both of you did a fine job. I am thinking about doing this as well, I just got a big piece of fire retardent PVC, from a friend, I have to go to the makers forum and ask some questions about this material, but it looks tough, and would make a high vis handle...good work. Gene
