My new focus

Hmmm, it sure looks used to me Kevin.QUOTE]

Got it today and its a shame cause I paid for it Saturday morning. Thats gotta be a record delivery esp for $2.99. It is certainly not new and for a knife described as new it would have to be called beat:mad:

there are scratches in the wood as well. The pic of the blade didnt turn out but it is chipped Bumming right now for sure.

The eB@y listing was "confused." In one place it says "new," in another "excellent" (as in "used, excellent," presumably). I'm not going to say whether I'd agree that this one is "excellent" or not. I will guess that the seller will probably be able to skate by any review by the auction site and claim that it was an accident. I don't want to sound harsh, but the pics on the auction were enough to show it wasn't new.

It was indeed an Idaho, he really stepped up to the plate and refunded my money including shipping and credited my paypal additional amount to cover return shipping. Cant ask for more than that. I actually then made him and offer on the knife for a reduced price plus both shipping charges and I'd keep it as a user and he'd be rid of the knife and wouldnt have to worry about return shipping and relisting it. Seemed like a good idea but the more I think about it, I hope he doesnt feel I was just trying to jip him out of money. I explained I wanted it for collection and display. Well, I guess we'll see.

I couldnt tell by the pics but I had my doubts. I thought worse case is that it would need a little buffing if it had some gentle pocket carry. I never expected pits and scratches and flat spots and chipped blade edge. All I could see for sure is that it was patina'd. But like I said he stepped up and credit me before I even sent the knife back.

Great result!!! I am surprised, most eBay sellers are not that straight-up. Cheer up (I mean this) - often the hunt is as much fun as the kill. You will find what you seek!

Yeah, youre right. The seller was ok to sell it at a reduced price which again was cool. I decided overnight I have enough users for now and will send it back so I can continue the original quest of NIB or mint Idaho 110.

Just a suggestion. You need to watch for Grand Opening Tins they are from 2005 (came with a 110 Idaho stamped) and have a Deer head key fob. They come up on the ebay from time to time.

Wow LB thanks, I bid on one the other night and lost but I didnt realize that those were 2005's. I woulda bid harder for sure. Same guy got that and a 100th anniv 112 new in tin for under 30 each. My new name imadope:p

Is this the one you are talking about? If it is, I think I scored pretty good here. I'm fairly certain that I already have one of these somewhere, just can't locate it right now. Heck, I might have given it away and don't remember, so I went for this one.
