My New Folder!

Well I've had the knife for less than 24 hours and it is my new favorite non-traditional folder. It easily blows any knife I have ever had in it's price range out of the water. It's like someone took all the best elements of a WH and Strider PT and made a knife. Of course it's not flawless but no custom I ever had was and total cost including shipping(he doesn't charge for shipping)was less than I've seen a used PT go for. I already have ordered another knife from Papi and I think he's a guy you'll be hearing about in the future.

That's a great looking folder. F&F looks good from the pics. How is the action? Smooth and locks up tight?

The action is good no play when it's traveling and it locks up like a bank vault. I don't know if you're familiar with the sebenza and how there is a groove in the tang where it touches the stop pin? But this has a similar groove type thing cut in to the tang. Very solid knife!

Thanks fellas.

The blade is over 1/8" thick but it has a very nice hollow grind so it's a nice slicer.

Edit here's a quote from the maker with the exact thickness:

" The thickness on the green bean is 4mm, which is about 0.160“ "

*sniff* SteelSnob, I hope you're happy, now I had to get Papi's knife too! I'll get mine in 3 or so months... *sighs*

I like the design you had, I just had to make few modifications to make it more me :D

Thank you very much for showing this knife. I can't wait to have my own Papi's knife with nail nick blade :D (and deep carry pocket clip with spear point blade)

Son of a gun, that is one outstanding looking knife! Just about as perfect as can be. A darn nice lockup as well!!!:D:thumbup:

:)

That's a very nice knife SteelSnob. Nice scales and looks to be very stout.

Thanks guys! He really goes the extra mile to make sure you get the knife you want.

And congrats to Jampaa. Please show us some pics when you have them.

I now asked him to make a similar knife to the one I have but dressed up in damascus blade and mammoth ivory. I'll post pics as soon as I have some.
